i heart loveland

we decided we needed a break. we headed up to loveland, colorado. alma has always talked about loveland and that it is one of his favorite places ever; that he wants to live there someday. so i had always believed him and we talk of living in loveland, yet i had never been there. so we decided to go. we got there one late afternoon, alma did the following photoshoot of me and the kiddies, then we headed off to go camping. we drove around for hours trying to find access into all the public land that was available. so lame that they restrict access because of private property close by. we couldn't find anywhere, so we ended up staying in a motel 6 in ft. collins. the next morning we headed back to loveland where i fell in love. it was the most quaint, beautiful, diverse little city! i am a big city girl, but that's just because i hate having to drive to the neighboring city to reach a target, the mall, or a normal restaurant...(so glad we've left rexburg!). but in loveland they had everything one could need or want. the biggest outlet mall and then a strip mall next door (with things such as j. crew!). beautiful and new shopping centers, farms, picturesque bungalows, and huge lakes in the middle of the city!! it was insane. driving down main street and seeing a huge lake to your right, where one could presumably water ski, swim, fish, jet ski, etc. a great park was attached to the lake where we spent most of the day. it was the perfect day. and although i like colorado springs, i am dreaming of loveland.

here are some of the pictures from alma's photoshoot. these pictures weren't good enough to make it to the photo blog, but i still liked them and wanted to post em. to see the others, click here.

don't you love that we are making the same face?? haha.

yes, here it is folks...my double chin in all it's glory! i can't deny it, but yet i still love this pictures because of what it captures (sans double chin!)
