DIY table

so we were in desperate need of a bigger table. maybe not desperate, yet, but we were squished. v & civil were sharing a side of our square table & civil is now to the point where he likes to pull vienna's hair, snatch her food or silverware and spill her drinks. so since alma has all of march off (from class & student teaching) the 1st project on the list was to build a bigger table. we figured all we'd need was a new table top & could use the rest of what we already had (legs, chairs, side boards, etc). and while we LOVE our white, square table, we were ready for something new. alma did all the measurements (and most the work :) and came up with a really fun corner design that i absolutely love. it makes it completely unique, which you know me likey. then we decided to go with something fun & bold. us? yes! (ha). so here you have it...does it not look like something you would find at cafe rio? mmmmmm...

as we have it right now, the 2 kid chairs are one either ends, and there's 2 chairs on each side. and this was our inspiration on pinterest:

pretty close yeah? this color is so tricky to photograph...it looks different in every single picture you take :) whatcha think??
