It started with learning to roll over. He was able to do that a while ago, but would get stuck on his stomach and basically smother himself in the sheets. Then he learned to prop himself up on his elbows so he could breathe and actually look around. Once he figured this out, he found out if he bails off to the side, he can roll back over. He is all over the place in his crib now!!! We cannot for the life of us convince him to sleep on his back. We roll him over, and literally seconds later he is back on his stomach. We find him upside-down, sideways, diagonal, under the covers with his feet sticking out where his head should be...he's quite interesting :)
He is no longer safe in any chair unless he's strapped in, or he will roll over and quite possibly out as you can see here.
He drools and blows bubbles all the time and is constantly smiling, squealing, and telling us 'stories'. He's so fun.
He knows when he is being left out now and refuses to sit in his bouncy seat while we eat dinner. So Alma has been eating with Jagger on his lap. Jagger can now grab at things and is putting anything he can into his mouth. He has come very close to tipping over a glass of water, plays in Alma's food when he's not looking and makes little messes. We just barely ordered and received his highchair and are excited for him to use it. It's one the hooks onto the table so he can be right in the action with us and not miss out on anything. He's tried it once, but since he still can't sit up on his own all the way yet, it gets old fast...but he's almost there!
And yesterday we went to the Sandbar in St. Anthony and Jagger went swinging and swimming (sort of) for the first time. His bathing suit was way too big and the water way too cold, so he basically just cried when his feet dipped in, but it was so much fun. Here I am playing around in the water for Alma's photography assignment. We also had our first family outing to Mesa Falls to see this incredible waterfall.
