moving day

Yes, yes we have moved. Unfortunately not out of Rexburg yet, but into a different apartment. A very different apartment considering we are surrounded by and sort of put in charge of 144 single girls. Alma's sure glad to have Jagger!! We were blessed with the opportunity to get the management position at the Pineview apartments. 27 couples applied in 3 days and the interviewing process took place over a period of 2 days, and we were the lucky ones. The old managers are our friends, so that probably helped us get our foot in the door, but the boss said she would have picked us anyway, which is nice to know we got the position on our own merits. The first group interview was last week on a Wednesday, our second interview was 2 days after on Friday morning, and that afternoon we found out we had the position. Traci, the big dog (boss), told us they needed us to start right away and to move in a.s.a.p! So this past Monday we moved! It all came as quite a shock to the ward and our friends, (us too!) and so now we've been here for almost a week and it's going to be a great thing for us. By managing we get free rent, utilities and the works, plus we work here so we also get paid. We have really been blessed and recognize where the blessings come from. I'm excited to get to know the girls and be friends with them...but at the same time it's sort of a weird place to be with a new little family. The other managers (for the boys apartments) and assistant managers are really cool and we're looking forward to the new friendships we will make. This will hopefully help us get our foot in the door to other management postitions once we go away to dental school. Nothing beats free rent! We are excited for the new experiences we are going to have here and the things we will learn.
