a summer kick

about 2 weeks ago, alma decided i needed a break and came home from work early to watch the kids. he said i had 3 hours to do whatever i wanted. over half that time i knew had to be taken at the grocery store. but first i stopped by a park, laid down in the sun and read my magazine. i am still reading july (not like i've been busy or anything :) and i came across a page that talked about a splash of color for summer. it talked about doing something bold. ie: blue eye shadow, bright lipstick, or noticeable fingernails. (only one of these things at a time mind you) ever since then ive had the urge to paint my fingernails. those that know me, know i don't even own nail polish remover. i never paint any of my nails, including toes. but that changed today. i went out and bought a fun salmon color for my fingernails and painted them while jagger ate lunch. i sort of feel like i am in junior high again. but what a fun way to have that last hoora of summer before fall gets here. :) do something for yourself!! even if it's just painting your nails...it feels good. and so does summer!
